Bao Bao has embraced "slow living" since she was a child. She learned to be patient from her parents, who taught her everything happens in its own time, so it is no use forcing things to happen. Rather, she should take things as they come.

She has a beautiful voice and always sees hope in others. Her positive energy spreads to the people who hear her. Whatever happens, once she starts singing, she feels peace and happiness fill her heart—nothing will faze her. Her ability to soothe others with her song helps others feel at peace with themselves too.

From her home perched in the centre of the forest, she enjoys the best echoes on Happy Island. But only a few people have heard her sing. If only her singing could reach a wider audience.

One day, the island was swept by heavy rain and wind. Many birds that Bao Bao had never seen before took refuge in her forest. She heard them singing a song, one that she had composed! "Where did you hear that?" she asked the birds. "It’s a popular song from far away. Isn’t it beautiful?" the birds replied.

Bao Bao was very happy to learn that her song had reached far, far away. "Who else is singing my song?" she thought. That was when she decided to leave home for an adventure. One day, she hoped, she would be able to perform her music in person for all her fans.
